We have recently installed a 5tph Skiold mill system on a large dairy enterprise in Cheshire so that they can mill Maize, Wheat, Barley or Oats ready for their pre-mix going into the diet feeders
The setup includes:
- 3m x 3m BM Intake Hopper: A robust intake hopper for receiving raw materials, designed to handle high volumes with minimal spillage.
- Frequency-Controlled Auger to Skiold Cleaner: This auger ensures a consistent feed rate to the Skiold cleaner, optimising throughput and reducing blockages.
- Waste Auger and Integrated Magnet: The waste auger efficiently removes unwanted material, while the built-in magnet captures ferrous contaminants—protecting downstream equipment.
- Skiold SK5000 Disc Mill (5tph) with Forced Feed Auger System: This high-performance disc mill features the latest forced feed auger technology, ensuring uniform material flow and improved grinding efficiency. With a throughput of up to 5 tonnes per hour, it delivers consistent results with low power consumption. The mill operates quietly and is simple to adjust for different grist sizes.
- Reverse Jet Filter: A powerful dust extraction system that maintains air quality and reduces maintenance by automatically cleaning the filter elements.
- Elevator and Top Conveyor System: Once milled, the grain is transported via an elevator and overhead conveyor to three dedicated storage bunkers, streamlining the post-processing workflow.
