MILL & MIX - FLEXIBLE AUGERS PAGE Danagri-3S offers a comprehensive range of SKIOLD Flexible Augers to complement other mill and mix equipment and machinery. FLEXIBLE AUGERS SKIOLD Flexible Augers supplied by Danagri-3S are available in two sizes, 75 mm diameter and 90 mm diameter. The auger flight is made of flat spring steel with an ultimate stress, thus ensuring a stable operation. The 75 mm diameter auger is available in two different pitches: 40 mm 60 mm The smaller auger is used for conveying mineral/vitamin mixtures or fish meal, as well as lower capacity work. Drive Unit Drive units for SKIOLD Flexible Augers are always supplied with gear motors, giving lower operational costs as well as reduced repairs compared to V-belt driven motors. Drive units can be mounted on either inlets or outlets, but only on indoor installations. If drive units are placed at both ends of the auger, maximum lengths can be increased by up to 30%, giving higher capacities. Back to the top of the page. Inlet/Outlet The inlet has a 300 x 300 mm opening and comes complete with a fixed capacity regulator. This can be further complemented with connections and bends for further dimensions. Inlets for two augers are available so that material can be conveyed from one silo to two different places. The outlet has an 150 mm diameter opening and is prepared for the mounting of a stop sensor. The outlets can be mounted on top of each other as a block system, or a double outlet can be used for receiving material from two augers, thus avoiding the need to mount several inlets in the mixer or wet feeding tank. Inlet with Q20 cover Special inlet with safety grate Special inlet with Q20 connection Intermediary Inlets Intermediary inlets, without capacity limitations, can be used where two inlets for the same auger are wanted. As this fills the auger 100%, there are certain limitations for the application of these inlets. The total auger length can be a maximum of 20 metres, and the intermediary inlet can be placed 3 metres away from the first inlet. The auger cannot be used for mineral/vitamin mixtures or other raw materials with a density of more than 0.75. Feeding Flexible augers are ideally suited to mill and mix units, and in smaller installations are often more favourable in price than traditional units. To conclude, the system is comprised of a range of feed outlets with attachable telescopic pipework for the automatic filling of feed dispensers.
