The Danagri Crop Stirrer Assists Aeration and Drying with Energy Savings.

Below is the article that appeared in the Farmers Guide on 15th September 2008.
The Danagri Crop Stirrer/Agitator is proving a useful aide to assisting the aeration and drying times of in-store crops during what has been an extremely wet harvest. Over 100 machines have now been sold with the trend this year leaning towards the larger 3 phase 6ft and new 8ft models to agitate deeper into the heap.
Standing behind the machine and steadily walking backwards, guiding the machine through the store, the crop stirrer draws from depths of 2.5ft, 4ft, 6ft and 8ft depending on the selection of model.
The crop is compressed in a chamber within the body of the machine and pushed forwards out the front giving the machine a steady propulsion backwards, leaving a small mound of agitated crop on the surface of the heap. Placing an airflow meter over, or a grain spear into the crop instantly provides evidence of the benefit of the Crop Stirrer.
The flexibility of the 6ft and 8ft models allows the interchanging of the smaller auger flights to use across crops stored at differing heights across the farm.
The Crop Stirrer has proven an energy saving device reducing the time required by fans and heaters and therefore the cost of ever increasing energy prices.
Whether your moisture content is still too high or crop has slumped and solidified the Danagri Crop Stirrer could prove a useful, cost effective, energy saving tool to assisting the aeration and drying time of your crops.
